The restrictions and travel limitations we had to respect during the lockdown period imposed by the Covid-related health situation obliged us to review some of the paradigms associated with our way of working. In many countries, especially abroad, production continued and there was a need to start up new equipment.
Start-up of new production lines remotely with the help of cameras.
Solution
We therefore had to devise a solution that would allow us to keep in contact with these customers and enable them to achieve their goal by putting the necessary equipment into production. We needed to rapidly set up a remote working system that would not only give us access to the IT infrastructure, but also make us aware of what might happen during the process in the production facility.
Result
We suggested that our customers install a series of cameras in strategic locations on the premises and appoint the most capable operators as DT Software’s contacts for that company. This allowed us to establish an extensive relationship of cooperation between the parties, enabling us to put the new machines into production remotely, even at a distance of thousands of kilometres.
